The Government of the Republic of Serbia determined the quota for market premiums to be awarded for solar power.
As a preparation to organize renewable electricity auctions, Serbia issued 3 decrees:
Decree on the quota for the market premiums for solar power plants
The quota set at 50 MW is for solar power plants with capacity of minimum 500 kW, whereas the wind power quota is set at 400 MW.
Decree on the balancing responsibility contract model
The contracts are to be signed between the guaranteed supplier – state-owned company Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) – and the auction winning developers. It also specifies the contract model together with the rights and obligations of the guaranteed supplier and the privileged producers.
Decree on market premiums and feed-in tariffs
This decree specifies the rules of an auction organization and the conditions that a producer must meet in order to acquire the status of a privileged power producer.
It is expected the first wind power auctions to be launched in June.
