The Ministry of Mining and Energy announced a new public call on November 27, 2024, inviting interested legal entities to participate in an auction for market premiums and other incentives for developing solar and wind power plants.
The call is open to legal entities and entrepreneurs registered in Serbia. Applicants can seek premiums for wind power plants with a minimum capacity of 3 MW or solar power plants with a minimum capacity of 500 kW. The call does not target specific geographic areas, making it accessible to participants from all parts of the country.
Investors will compete for premium quotas totaling 424 MW, with 300 MW allocated to wind power plants and 124 MW designated for solar power plants.
This public call introduces several changes compared to the previous round. Notably, the maximum quota that can be awarded to a single auction participant for one or more solar power plants is capped at 105 MW. Additionally, applicants must be aware of the maximum price caps offered at the auction: EUR 79 per megawatt-hour for wind power plants and EUR 72 per megawatt-hour for solar power plants.
As with the previous round held in August 2023, this auction will be conducted entirely online. Interested applicants can submit their bids through the RES Portal – Auctions where the full text of the public call is available. The submission deadline is February 5, 2025.
