Process of company founding in Serbia goes electronic

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia announced today that starting May 18 the application for a company incorporation must be filed to the Business Registers Agency in electronic form exclusively

This goes in line with the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Registration Procedure at the Business Registers Agency that was adopted in 2021. The whole process falls under the concept of eGovernment and digitization of the operations of the Serbian economy as a whole.

As of May 18 the possibility of sending the application for the founding of a company in paper form will cease to exist

This practice is expected to show a positive effect on reduction of the costs and the time required for the founding of a company, the Ministry concluded.
